FEATURES OF THIS RADIO
The TS - 530S is a highly sophisticated solid state Amateur Band transceiver employing only 3 vacuum
tubes. Operating on all Amateur bands between 1.8 and 29.7 MHz, this radio is constructed modularly.
The TS - 530 S includes many built in features usually found as extras on other transceivers. Included
are VOX, 2.6 kHz calibrator, RIT, RF attenuator and an effective noise blanker. The TS 530S also
includes automatic gain control ( AGC ), automatic level control ( ALC ), semi - break in CW with sidetone,
a speech processor, speaker and built in AC power supply. The TS - 530S delivers 220 watts PEP input.
SPEECH PROCESSOR
The Radio has a Built in Speech Processor that controls the audio compression level and ALC time
constant to increase the average audio level and resulting transmit power reduction.
INTERFERENCE - FREE DX OPERATION.
The IF shift circuit is a circuit to shift IF pass - bandwidth without changing receive frequency. It
eliminates interference or adjusts receive frequency characteristics as desired.
XIT
(Transmit Incremental Tuning) for fine adjustment of the transmit frequency independent of the receive
frequency.
RIT
(Receiver Incremental Tuning) allows you to adjust receive frequency without changing tranmit
frequency.
DIGITAL DISPLAY
Built in Digital display that provides accurate frequency within 100Hz on any band or mode of operation.
WARC BANDS
The Radio fully covers 160 - 10 meters of the Amateur bands. The VFO covers at least 50 kHz above and
below each band.
TUBES
This Radio only has 3 tubes in it, 2 of them are the final amplifier 6146B transmitting tubes that have a
pre - heating switch that can be turned on or off.
VARIABLE LEVEL NOISE BLANKER
Conventional fixed level noise blanker's are sometimes less than effective in removing pulsating noise
over weak signals or rejecting strong interference signals. This Radio is equiped to control the optimal
threshold level of the gate pulse amplifier.
